The ask.
I began working with U.S. Figure Skating in September 2025 — less than six months out from the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games.
With new leadership recently installed, the organization had a revitalized vision for the sport and the way that it shows up in the world. In collaboration with Social Strategist Kara Raney and Videographer Jack Ginsberg, we began reimagining the social program in real time throughout the Olympic season — shifting from a focus on reporting out competition results to instead peeling back the curtain and bringing not just the skating, but the multifaceted skater personality and experiences, to fans.
Following an autumn of pre-Olympic media appearances and the international Grand Prix competition circuit, the top skaters in the country competed across four disciplines at the U.S. Championships, where the 2026 Olympic figure skating team was announced.
We were onsite with the task of capturing all of the moments on the ice — and all of the moments in between. From coach reactions to championship wins to Olympic team announcements, we were there for it all (with nearly 100 in-feed posts on Instagram alone, 700+ across platforms, several with 1M+ views) — and a few times, lacing up and capturing directly from the ice. Following the week-long competition, we captured several social concepts with the newly-minted Olympic team during a content shoot day.
Results & impact.
Notable
Moments.
- Programming and posting each individual Olympic team announcement, timed in real time with the live "Making The Team" broadcast special presented by Xfinity
- Capturing Amber Glenn's viral championship-win reaction, then lacing up to shoot on-ice footage for a YouTube x NBC Sports long-form video featuring Amber and gymnast/creator Ian Gunther (650K+ views)
- Managing influencers on-site and facilitating a pop-up edge class (with less than 12 hours notice) with junior national athletes, led by coach and influencer Yebin Mok
Live on the platforms.

Captured championship performances and winners' reactions rinkside, bringing historic moments to our audience beyond the venue and around the world.

When Alysa debuted a new program, dress, and hairstyle at U.S. Champs practice ice, we cut a social edit of footage shot by Jack Ginsberg to post ASAP — this Instagram Reel alone brought in nearly 10K new followers.

We noticed that during parts of the competition, a second performance was happening off the ice — by Olympic medalists turned coaches. Figure skaters of all levels adored and related to this moment.

Figure skaters typically perform their jumps and spins as "rightys," in rarer instances, they skate as "lefties". And in the case of national team member Sonja Hilmer— she performs elements in both directions, with incredible talent on display. This quick-turn, skater-instinct-driven edit proved to resonate deeply with the skating community.

Surprise mini-mic messages from Amber's family and friends, posted the morning of her Olympic debut.

First came the Olympic team announcements, then came the "Amber, Alysa and Isabeau have a team name idea, let's get content & merch live" request. We launched The Blade Angels as the skaters were landing in Milan...then NBC and Taylor Swift dropped a promo video... and the name was known around the world.
